HOEKSTRA STATEMENT ON NOFS SENATE VICTORY

November 3, 2009

HOLLAND, MI-November 3, 2009- U.S. Rep. and Michigan Gubernatorial candidate Pete Hoekstra, R-Holland issued the following statement on Mike Nofs victory tonight in the Senate Special Election.

"I congratulate Senator-Elect Mike Nofs on his impressive victory tonight.

Mike, his team, the Michigan Republican Party and grassroots conservative volunteers ran a solid campaign that will have a lasting impact in Lansing.

Michigan has suffered from 43 straight months of worst-in-the-nation unemployment, and Michigan voters have sent a clear message that they have had enough. I look forward to joining Senator Nofs in Lansing 14 months from now to replace the current failed administration and lead Michigan from worst back to first."

Michigan's Future Is Beginning to Change.
